The Hardcover Library of the Gallery of Cultural Communication:

Since the end of 2021, the Galerie für Kulturkommunikation Berlin has been publishing a selection of its catalogs in hardcover. Thus, the need for representative gifts is fulfilled as well as the need for status-enhancing expensive illustrated books on the bedside table when ladies or gentlemen are expected to visit. The sight of these illustrated books has an aphrodisiac effect on some people, or looking at them helps them get over erotically trivial moments. It is possible that the visitor will simply take the illustrated book with him the next morning without asking. Then, of course, he will not come back...

But the representative hardcover catalogs can also serve simply to be collected. Their edition is limited. Only a few selected titles of our publications find their way into this series.

You can use them to knock burglars on the head. You can tear off the cover and create permanent shopping lists on sturdy cardboard on the back, which can be sold to museums of modern art at horrendous prices after your death.

Of course, you can also paint the envelope, stick Swarovsky glitter beads on it, or leave the whole book on the train, throw it out the window, or flatten a dachshund with it if it's too much of a pain in the ass.

Die Hardcover Bibliothek der Galerie für Kulturkommunikation:

Die Galerie für Kulturkommunikation Berlin legt auf vielfältigen Wunsch seit Ende 2021 eine Auswahl ihrer Kataloge als hardcover vor. Somit wird das Bedürfnis nach repräsentativen Geschenken ebenso erfüllt wie jenes nach statusfördernden teuren Bildbänden auf dem Nachttisch, wenn Damen- oder Herrenbesuch erwartet wird. Der Anblick dieser Bildbände wirkt auf manchen Menschen aphrodisierend, oder das Betrachten hilft über erotisch belanglose Momente hinweg. Möglich, daß der Besuch den Bildband am nächsten Morgen einfach ohne zu fragen mitnimmt. Er kommt dann natürlich nicht wieder...

Die repräsentativen Hardcover Kataloge können aber auch dazu dienen, einfach gesammelt zu werden. Ihre Auflage ist begrenzt. Nur wenige ausgewählte Titel unserer Publikationen finden den Weg in diese Reihe.

Man kann sie nutzen, um sie Einbrechern auf den Kopf zu hauen. Man kann den Umschlag abreissen und auf der Rückseite auf stabilem Karton dauerhafte Einkaufslisten erstellen, die nach Ihrem Tod an Museen für moderne Kunst zu horrenden Preisen verkauft werden können.

Man kann den Umschlag selbstverständlich auch bemalen, mit Swarovsky Glitzerperlen bekleben oder das ganze Buch im Zug liegenlassen, aus dem Fenster werfen oder einen Dackel damit plattmachen, wenn er zu sehr auf die Nerven fällt.
